The order types you need to enter precisely and exit safely — on perps and event markets alike.
Market orders
Execute now at the best available price. Use market orders when getting in matters more than the exact price. The ticket shows estimated slippage before you confirm — fast never means blind.
Limit orders
Execute at your price or better. You set the price; the order rests until the market comes to you or you cancel.
Use limit orders to:
- Enter on a pullback instead of chasing
- Buy YES below the current ask and let the crowd come to you
- Avoid slippage on thin books
Trigger (stop) orders
Fire only when a level trades. A trigger order watches the market and submits a market or limit order when your stop price hits. Protect a position, or enter on a breakout without staring at the chart.
Take profit and stop loss
TP/SL attach directly to an open position:
- Set them at entry, or add them later
- They cover the whole position and cancel automatically when it closes
- Edit or remove them anytime from the position card
The habit that separates traders from donors: decide the exit before you enter. Attach TP/SL at entry and let the plan do the work.
Good to know
- Open orders live in Portfolio → Orders, cancellable in one tap.
- Event markets work the same way — a limit order to buy YES at 40¢ fills when someone sells at 40¢.
- Every order type shows itemized fees before confirmation. See Fees.
